New to the Åre Extreme family is Åre Extreme Youth where participants are between 14-17 years old. Finally we have a class that will ensure the re-growth of our beloved sport.
With a 27 km long course, it will be great fun to follow this class and its development. The disciplines are paddling on the Åresjön, running and MTB cycling.
No educational requirements are needed, however, parents have to sign connect/ legal responsibility forms at registration before the start.
New is also that the Youth class can compete in DUO class – mix/girl/boy teams. Here you decide if you want to use single kayaks (K1’s) or if you want to use double kayaks (K2’s).
Double kayaks can be rented directly from the organisation via the registration form for the Youth Duo class on RaceID. The price for renting a double kayak is 850 sek.
