Åre Extreme Race Tour Stockholm

Race number two of the Åre Extreme Race Tour will takes place in Stockholm and Hammarbybacken May 18th. This race is for everyone, from the total beginners to the elite. The course is designed so that anyone can try multisport and adventure racing. Kayaks can be rented, you can register on site and you can race together in two-person teams.

Try multisport
For those who want to try multisport but don’t want to run the full distance, there is a shorter option. The youth class and “Try Out” classes make one loop of each discipline on the course. Full course makes two loops of each discipline (2 laps). Each lap is 17 km long.

Registration
The registration and race center is located next to the ski lift at Flottsbro ski hill. Please be there well in time for registration, kayak, bike and running gear set up in gear zone, and other preparations.

Accommodation
Accommodation is available at https://www.flottsbro.se/sv/boende. Follow this link for reservations. They have small huts or camping spot available.

Preliminary schedule/registration

Registration
The registration and race center are to be found below the ski lift at Hammarbybackens parking lot. Be there well in times/advance for registration, and other preparations.

Schedule
09:30 Check-in opens at Hammarbybacken.
13:00 START ALL LAKE classes.
14:10 START RUN n’ BIKE.
14:30 First finish “Short” course.
15:40 First finish “Long” course.

Rules

-All “rubbish” in the form of paper, bottles etc. must be taken to the next transition area / trash bin or finish line.

-In case of an accident / emergency, YOU as a competitor are obliged to assist the injured / sick person / patients in the best possible way.

-If a competitor quit the race, this must be announced to the nearest manned transition or staff member.

-Support is not allowed along the course but only at the official Transition areas.

-All participants must be aware of the risks of competing in this type of sport, environment and be well prepared.

-The event has a security organization to minimize the time to evacuate a seriously injured participant. But weather and terrain conditions can affect the time, which is why the mandatory equipment is important to bring.

-All participants, by registering for one of Åre Extreme events, agree on a common distance from doping in sports. In the event that a participant or someone in the participant’s vicinity uses or trades with doping that are not permitted according to the Swedish Sports Confederation’s regulations in force at any given time, ÅE will report this to the federation’s participant’s own federation and suspend the person in question for competition in Multisport.
